Quranic Studies Program

At Blessed Islamic Grammar School, we believe that learning to recite the Quran is one of the most important aspects of a Muslim’s education. Our Quranic Studies program is designed to provide students with a clear understanding of recitation manner, rules and of the Quran.

The rewards of reciting the Quran properly are immense. As the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, “The best of you are those who learn the Quran and teach it to others.” (Sahih Al-Bukhari)

It is essential to learn the Quran correctly and recite it with proper tajweed rules, which enhance the beauty and clarity of the recitation. Our curriculum is based on Nazra Quran with tajweed and Hifz(optional, only for boys), and includes compulsory memorization of the last para of the Quran, as well as suras such as Yaseen, Mulk, and Waqia. Curriculum is divided such that students complete Nazra Quran in grade 5 and then start it again with translation.

We also believe in the importance of understanding and applying Quranic teachings to daily life. That’s why we include a translation of the Holy Quran from secondary school onwards.

All of our Quranic Studies teachers are experts in their field with a deep knowledge of Quranic Studies. We strive to provide an environment that fosters a love for learning and a deep appreciation of the Quran.

We hope that our Quranic Studies program will not only provide our students with a strong foundation in Quranic knowledge but also inspire them to become lifelong learners and ambassadors of Islam.
